We would like to welcome a new member to The Vineyards Campground & Cabins family!

Dusty Rose, a 4 month old Lhasa Apso/Pekingese puppy, was surrendered to the Grapevine Animal Shelter early this week. Shortly after she became available one of our workamping couples quickly made the short trip over to the shelter to adopt!

Less than 48 hours after adopting this pup our workamping couple said that they, “we’re definitely pleased that she’s now a part of our family,” and continued by stating, “after a fair amount of discussion, she has officially been christened ‘Dusty Rose’ (in honor of Texas tradition, we gave her 2 first names). It’s been a while since we’ve had a puppy around and it’s a absolute hoot to watch her learn something new everyday…”

She is as cute as a button and we are happy to have this new addition to our campground family! If you are interested in adopting and providing a forever home check out the pets Grapevine Animal Shelter has up for adoption (click the picture above to see available pets)!

City of Grapevine’s Horticulturist Lisa Grove, and her wonderful team of volunteer Docents, put on last weeks activity which was focused on our flying friends.

Spring BEAK involved some of our young guests making pinecone bird-feeders, coloring miniature bird houses and building life size bird houses which we hung throughout the campground nature trail for our fine feathered friends to enjoy!

While we were all walking the trail Lisa and her team pointed out different plants, animals and insects and educated guests on fun facts.

We extend a very special thank you too Lisa and her volunteers for a terrific Spring BEAK morning!  Current and future guests are invited and encourage to view our 4 new birdhouses and track their progress throughout the years.  Let us know what birds you see making these houses their home!

This past Monday we hosted our Camp Store 1 year Anniversary.  Chick-Fil-A at Grapevine Mills provided a DELICIOUS breakfast spread for our guests to enjoy and that they certainly did! We also hosted our annual Spring Break Raffle which collected entries from all of our Camp Store customers for a chance to win one of 11 different prizes.

From hiker packs to all-in-one camper crock-pots and heavy duty drill sets to gift cards we added even more prizes from last year to increase our potential winners!

Thanks to our Camp Store hosts Nancy and Junior Hall, who helped open the Store a year ago, and to all our guests for participating in our Camp Store Anniversary Activities!

Sunday, as the sun beautifully worked its way down below the tree line, we had families and friends join us for a -delicious- event. 

We kicked-off the fun filled week with our Campground Community Campfire and had S’mores for an evening treat. We always love to get to know our guests and this was a perfect opportunity for everyone to get to know their fellow campers also.  It was great to meet everyone spending their week with us and we look forward to seeing you all out-and-about!
