Welcome Winter!

Winter is in full swing here at The Vineyards! Birds are singing and the sunshine is bright and we have had some mild temps this winter. It’s been so wonderful! We are hosting guests from around the globe this season. Our evenings are perfect for campfires and star-gazing and the mornings have been bountiful for bird watching, fishing or just relaxing surrounded by the peaceful lake-front views.

Kayaking has also been popular through our mild winter season. With temps in the 60′s all this week, we’ve had lots of guests enjoying the weather on our grounds and in town. Guests are enjoying our many wineries, shopping, dining, a vintage Grapevine railroad excursion that travels to and from the Fort Worth Stockyards and so much more. We hope to see you soon at our GuestRated A campground. We’re more than just a little getaway, we ensure that your stay with us will bring memories to last a lifetime.

Not One But Two Honors

The Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) held its National Meeting and Outdoor Hospitality Expo last month in Las Vegas, Nevada, honoring The Vineyards Campground & Cabins as one of the nations’ top Guest A-Rated facilities for the fifth year in row! GuestReviews reports that The Vineyards Campground shares this distinction, as one of the Best Parks in America, with only 9 other campgrounds and RV resorts across the United States.

Thanks to everyone that filled out a survey—we have the best campers too! This was the fifth annual online consumer satisfaction survey of independent parks which evaluated guest experiences with all 2,100 independent campgrounds and RV resorts affiliated with ARVC.

ARVC also recognized the achievements of top private park operators, state associations and industry volunteers. Park of the Year awards were given to RV parks and resorts based on several criteria, including customer service, employee training, operational excellence, national directory ratings and community service.

It is with great pleasure that we can officially announce that The Vineyards Campground & Cabins was awarded the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds Small Park of the Year award. This is a huge honor and we are thankful for everyone for making it possible!

Restoring Love at the Vineyards!

This past weekend Cowboys Stadium hosted Glen Beck’s Restoring Love event and kicked off the festivities with a Day of Service. This Day of Service consisted of 30,000 volunteers who broke into teams to participate in projects throughout North Texas. The City of Grapevine hosted 4 of these teams, one of which being at The Vineyards Campgrounds & Cabins (pictured above). Three different projects were worked on by these volunteers including, raking campsites, painting shade structures and beautifying our nature trail.

This amazing team of people came from all over the country to participate in the Restoring Love event and we are so thankful for them, Mercury One and our very own Keep Grapevine Beautiful for making it all happen!

Walt Bullock

It is with sad hearts that we inform you of the regretful passing of our beloved Walter Allen Bullock.  After Walt and Rosie’s long camping and work history at The Vineyards many of us have come to know them and will forever remember Walt for his big heart and fiery spirit.

From working with Walt or camping with him many of us had become close friends to him and family.  In honor and in memory of Walt we will be collecting donations for a Living Legacy Tree and Memorial to be planted here at The Vineyards Campgrounds & Cabins. If you wish to donate to this fund please contact Adrienne Nicodemus at 817.410.3491 or send her an e-mail at lakeparks@grapevinetexas.gov.

We kindly ask that those who know the family give them the time they need and refrain from contacting them for the time being.  A Planting and Memorial Celebration is being planned and information will given out at a later date. Please watch for this information in your monthly Vineline Newsletter, our Facebook and here at our Blog.
